Customer Care Training for Hospitals in Nepal
Courtesy and clear communication for patient-facing teams.
Why service training matters here
People come to a hospital at one of the most vulnerable moments they have. They are in pain, or worried about someone who is. Clinical skill matters most, but patients and families also judge a hospital by how reception spoke to them, whether anyone explained the wait, and whether billing and pharmacy staff were patient.
Aradhana Shrestha has delivered customer care training for Om Hospital & Research Centre, Tilganga Eye Hospital, Biratnagar Eye Hospital, Harisiddhi Cancer Hospital, Healthy Choice Aesthetic Hospital, Blood Hospital, Royal Drug & Pharmaceuticals and Charak International Hospital in Pokhara.
Where patients form their opinion
- Reception and registrationA calm greeting and clear directions set the tone before a patient sees a doctor.
- WaitingPeople tolerate waiting better when someone tells them what is happening and how long it may take.
- Anxious familiesRelatives often need reassurance and information more than the patient does.
- Billing and pharmacyMoney and medicine conversations are where patience is most often lost.
- Handover between departmentsPatients notice when staff are not speaking to each other.

Common questions
Is the training for doctors and nurses, or for support staff?
It is designed mainly for non-clinical and patient-facing staff such as reception, registration, billing, pharmacy and helpdesk teams. It can be extended to nurses and clinical staff who want to strengthen patient communication.
Can it be delivered without disrupting hospital operations?
Yes. Large teams can be split into smaller groups across several shorter sessions so departments stay covered.
Have you worked outside Kathmandu in healthcare?
Yes, including Charak International Hospital in Pokhara and Biratnagar Eye Hospital.
Do you cover communication skills as well?
Yes. Many hospital programs combine customer care with effective communication, which has been the format for Tilganga Eye Hospital, Harisiddhi Cancer Hospital, Blood Hospital and others.
